ASSESSMENTS

Ongoing assessment ensures that each student’s progress and development are continuous and aligned with predetermined standards.

At DYPIS, assessments are designed to be fair, valid, reliable and practicable, thereby providing a true picture of a student’s ability, regardless of when or where the assessment is conducted. Learners are evaluated through both formative and summative assessments throughout the academic year to determine their levels of achievement.

Formative Assessments (FA)

Formative assessments are seamlessly integrated into the daily teaching–learning process.

Objectives of FA:

  • Identify individual strengths and areas for improvement for each learner
  • Provide periodic updates and feedback on knowledge and skill acquisition
  • Encourage reflection, introspection, and the practice of corrective strategies
  • Facilitate the implementation of remedial measures where required

Formative Assessment at DYPIS is conducted through a diverse range of tools designed to evaluate students across multiple competencies:

Knowledge & Understanding

Quizzes, Mental Math Tests, Class Tests

Communication & Expression

Debates, Discussions, Presentations (Collaborative / Individual), Role Plays
